What our customers say
The same thing, again and again: the leak was exactly where Scott and Matt said it would be.
For months I was looking for someone who could figure out the problem with damp walls inside and outside the house. Every plumber, engineer and rising damp company I called said they could not find the problem. You were able to pinpoint it in less than one hour.
You were spot on finding the position of the burst pipe under the concrete. I'll definitely use you again.
You pinpointed the leak with 100% accuracy in less than an hour. Other companies calling themselves experts could not find it. The leak was on the hot water, under the vanity, exactly as you said.

Water Leak Detection
Hidden water leaks found in walls, floors, showers, underground and under concrete, without unnecessary damage.
Find the leak without pulling the place apart
A hidden water leak can waste hundreds of litres a day and quietly damage walls, floors and foundations. Plumbers without specialised leak detection equipment can only estimate where a leak is, which often means test holes, lifted tiles and extra cost.
Scott and Matt locate the leak from above ground using acoustic, tracer gas and thermal equipment, then marks the exact position so your regular plumber can make the repair in one place.
Please note: we are leak detection specialists, not plumbers. We don't do plumbing work such as toilets, taps, hot water or repairs. We find and mark the leak, and your own plumber carries out the repair.
Signs you may have a hidden leak
- Water bill higher than usual
- Water meter moving with all taps off
- Damp or stained walls, skirting or ceilings
- Mould or a musty smell
- Lifting or cracked tiles or floorboards
- Wet patches or soft ground in the yard
- Drop in water pressure
- Water under a vanity or in cupboards
Where we find leaks
- Showers and bathrooms
- Inside walls
- Under floors and concrete slabs
- Underground service pipes
- Under driveways and pavers
- Either side of the water meter
How the leak is found
What you get
- The leak position marked on site
- Photos of the location and findings
- A written report for your insurer on request
- Freedom to use your own plumber for the repair
What our customers say
You pinpointed the leak with 100% accuracy in less than an hour. Other companies calling themselves experts could not find it. The leak was on the hot water, under the vanity, exactly as you said.

Pipe Locating
Know exactly where your pipes run before you dig, build, landscape or repair.
Locate before you dig
Digging without knowing where the pipes are risks damaging services, delaying the job and adding cost. Scott and Matt trace the route and depth of underground water pipes and mark their path on the ground, so you can plan work with confidence.
Pipe locating is also the first step in finding many underground leaks. Once the route of the pipe is known, it can be tested along its length to pinpoint the problem.
When you need a pipe located
- Before excavation or trenching
- Before renovations, extensions or pools
- Landscaping and new driveways
- Finding the route of an old or undocumented service
- Locating a pipe before a repair
- Burst pipe testing and investigation
Certloc certified. Scott and Matt are Certloc certified locators, the industry accreditation for underground asset location in Australia.
Equipment we use
What our customers say
We dug down to the water pipe ready for the plumber to come. The leak was exactly where you said it would be. You gave us wonderful service.
Got a leak or fault you can't find?
Call Scott and Matt to talk it through. They'll tell you straight whether it's a job for us and what it will involve.
Gas Leak Detection
Leaks on natural gas service lines located accurately so your gas fitter can repair them at the source.
If you can smell gas strongly, leave the area, avoid using switches or naked flames, and call your gas network's emergency line or 000.
Accurate gas leak location
Gas leaks on buried or concealed service lines can be difficult to find, and guessing means unnecessary excavation. Scott and Matt use tracer gas, specialist gas detectors and ultrasonic equipment to find the leak's position, so the repair goes straight to the source.
Signs of a gas leak
- A smell of gas near the meter or lines
- Gas bill higher than usual
- Gas meter moving with appliances off
- A hissing sound near a gas line
- Dead patches of grass above a gas line
- A failed pressure test
How we find it
What our customers say
I had a major leak which amounted to a loss of water in excess of 3,500 litres a day. You arrived when you said you would, in fact half an hour early, and were confident you would find the leak within the first hour. That turned out to be the case. You demonstrated courtesy, knowledge and professionalism.

Cable Fault Location
Underground power and communications cable faults pinpointed, so you can repair the fault instead of re-running the cable.
Repair the fault, not the whole run
When an underground cable fails, the usual answer is to dig up the whole route or run a new cable. Our cable fault location service finds the fault point, so only the damaged section needs repairing. Whether it's an electrical or communications cable, call us before you give up and re-run it.
Common causes of cable faults
- Insulation breaking down with age
- Water getting into the cable
- Damage from digging or excavation
- Failed joints or splices
- Rodent or root damage
- Ground movement
Where we locate faults
- Cables to sheds, garages and outbuildings
- Pool, garden and driveway lighting
- Gates and pumps
- Sub-mains on commercial and industrial sites
- Communications and data cables
- Street and car park lighting
How it's done
Scott and Matt first trace the route of the cable, then use cable fault location equipment to find the point where the insulation has failed. The position is marked on the ground for your electrician to excavate and repair.
What our customers say
Thanks for your help today. Your location was bang on. Good job.

Thermal Imaging
FLIR infrared thermal imaging to find leaks, damp, missing insulation and electrical hot spots you can't see.
See what's hidden behind the surface
A high-specification FLIR thermal imaging camera shows temperature differences across walls, floors, ceilings and equipment. It's one of the fastest ways to narrow down a hot water leak, map dampness or spot an electrical problem before it fails.
What thermal imaging is used for
- Hot water leaks in walls and under floors
- Dampness and water ingress
- Missing or damaged insulation
- Electrical hot spots in switchboards
- Predictive maintenance on equipment
- Supporting insurance investigations
Predictive maintenance
Overheating connections, overloaded circuits and failing components show up as hot spots long before they fail. Regular thermal scans help businesses and facilities plan maintenance instead of reacting to breakdowns.

Fire Hydrant & Fire Services
Specialist leak location on fire hydrant and fire service mains for commercial, industrial and strata properties.
Fire hydrant specialists
Leaks on underground fire hydrant and fire service mains often go unnoticed until water bills, pressure problems or failed testing show something is wrong. Scott and Matt are fire hydrant specialists, locating leaks on these systems accurately so repairs can be targeted and disruption to the site kept to a minimum.
Who we work with
- Property and facility managers
- Strata managers and owners corporations
- Fire services contractors
- Plumbers and hydraulic contractors
- Industrial and commercial sites
- Councils and schools
Signs of a fire service leak
- Unexplained water usage
- Pressure loss in the system
- Failed or inconsistent flow testing
- Wet ground along the service route
How we find it
The route of the main is traced first, then tested using acoustic ground microphones, a leak correlator and tracer gas where needed. The leak position is marked on site with photos and a written report for the property manager or contractor.
What our customers say
Your detection of our leak site was spot on, despite the complication of another more serious leak on the supply side of the water meter. Both problems were fixed by a local plumber.
